Compound Movements
The most efficient and productive resistance training exercises are ones that involve the most joints and the largest muscle groups. These are known as compound or multi-joint exercises and are the foundation for building muscle, losing fat and increasing RMR (resting metabolic rate). VersaStick combines the use of up to three pieces of tubing in order to accommodate the largest muscle groups through all kinds of compound exercises. Take the chest press and squat/row as an example. These exercises work three large muscle groups and do so simply by lifting the bar overhead, turning around and changing your grip. You go from the squat/row (a great legs and back exercise) to chest press (a perfect exercise to build chest muscles) almost instantly.
